This audio file is a brief portion of a musical number performed in the film Tender Mercies. There is a fair use rationale for this clip because it adds significantly to the article about the film. Specifically, it provides an audio presentation of Buckley's singing voice, which cannot be adequately explained in text. Betty Buckley performed her own vocals during the film's songs, and was cast in large part based on the strength of her singing voice. These facts were a major part of the Tender Mercies article, for which an audio clip is necessary. Additionally, the specific song Buckley sings in the clip was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song; this, too, is a major part of the Tender Mercies article and requires the use of the audio clip.
