巨爵座β（β Crt，翼宿十六，Al Sharasif），是位於巨爵座南部的一個雙星系統。它在夜空中肉眼可見，視星等為4.46[2]。 從地球上測量的恆星視差為9.59毫角秒，因此巨爵座β與太陽的距離約為340光年。

巨爵座β是一個天測聯星[3]系統，軌道周期約為6年，距離為8.3個天文單位。該軌道預計半長軸為9.3個天文單位[3]。 其主星A被列為一顆恆星光譜為A2 Ⅲ型的A型巨星。[3][12][9] 不過Houk 和 Smith-Moore (1988) 把它列為A1 Ⅴ型主序星，[13] 而Abt 和 Morrell (1995) 則把它列為一顆A2 Ⅳ型亞巨星[14]。 該系統的光譜顯示為鋇增強，可能是因為其曾發生過傳質過程[6]。

伴星B是一顆白矮星[9]，有效溫度為36,885K，已經冷卻了約400萬年[10]。 它具有異常低的質量，只有太陽的43%，這表明這顆伴星可能已經將質量轉移給了主星。預測其將來可能轉化為一個三星系統 ，或者是一個高軌道離心率的雙星系統[3]。 同時，這顆矮星是該系統X射線輻射的來源[15]。
